Collier Center is located in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Engineering, then capitalizing on the largest interstate land exchange in U.S. history, the Collier family in 1988 swapped 108,000 acres of environmentally sensitive land in Southwest Florida for U.S. Government surplus property in Phoenix. After obtaining development rights for 22.5 acres of downtown and midtown properties, the Barron Collier Companies created Collier Center (www.CollierCenterPhoenix.com). Collier Center comprises 520,000 sq. ft. of office space, 85,000 of retail space plus a hotel pad that can accommodate 400-700 hotel rooms when developed. Two undeveloped residential pads can accommodate 1,000 units and 60,000 sq. ft. of retail in two towers.
